The New Volvo V70 - E85 options and Diesel based, Designed especially for Police
Volvo V70 would be introduced in the early 2008, this has been specially adpatible for Swedish Police. The request made by Police to make the very first editions of D5 Diesel engines which were ethanol friendly would go on offer to Police later. The only difference being that the diesel version offers 185 horsepower and E85 offers 200 horsepower. There are many other changes made to the new V70 with enhanced chassis, ergonomic working, with comfortable brakes and wheels.

The annual police conference held in Stockholm in the end of September would see Volvo special vehicles unveiled. they would be the new generation of Volvo V70 with police uniform for Swedish police.
The Police version of V70 is a modified standard car having unique features like that of reinforced adapted chassis which are specially manufactured, wheels and brakes for easy comfort, they also have an enhanced version of electrical systems and the best suited ergonomic working environment for long working hours for Swedish police. The altered features are specially done to handle the demanding operating conditions of police and also for quick responding to emergencies, etc.
The Swedish Police had specially informed Volvo about well known and high energy efficient D5 Diesel engines having a power output of 185 hp. The new model from Volvo would be introduced next year with 200 hp FT flexi fuel that is E85 version, it would be environmentally optimised option for Swedish police.
The first version of the brand new Volvo V70 police cars would be unveiled in January 2008.
The later year of 2008 would see the introduction of Volvo’s 4 wheel drive XC70 that would be done up in a police version.
